-Mercury Valley, CA-
Dysta rolled out of the way as a giant dragon man shrieked and sprayed fire in her direction. Seiren waved his arm and the water flowed out of the fountain and put out the fire that had begun.
"In accordance with the SGPA charter signed with Draconis, you- Prince Dargo, are in violation of the peace treaty's invasion clause that classifies Earth as a neutral planet." Phuong spoke, catching the dragon man's attention.
"Cease this assault at once and allow yourself to be taken into SGPA custody." Ilasu commanded but it only caused Dargo to roar defiantly.
"Cowards! All of them! I am the true Prince of Draconis! Me! This planet should be mine!" he shrieked.
"Looks like Sugar Space Bunny has dusted you one too many times." Dysta said.
'I doubt that one was ever sane to begin with, Dysta.' Seiren responded.
"If she were here, this would be easy."
"We are quite capable of handling him on our own." Ilasu countered. "He is not of the right mind as you said."
"If you proceed, Dargo, I will be forced to take you down." Phuong locked eyes with him. His answer was a roar as Dargo swiped at her. "Should have known. You've never been reasonable before." She said as she vanished in a flash of light and reappeared several feet away. She blasted him, giving the others a signal to charge. Dysta rolled under his tail as he spun. She knocked it away with her spear as she twirled and cut it clean off. He screamed as he turned and Phoung teleported Dysta out of the way.
"Always such a child." Ilasu sighed. "It will grow back as it always does." This comment caught Dargo's attention. With a wave of her hand, a giant spider-like creature materialized and spewed a stringy goop at him.
He roared as he breathed fire, trying to untangle himself. Instead it set the webbing ablaze.
"Now we have a dragon man. On fire."
'I'm on it.' Seiren sent a wave of the fountain's water at Dargo again.
He easily tore free from the webbing now. Phuong blasted him in the face, blinding him enough that he began to swing wildly. The spider pounced on him but he grabbed a hold of it's legs and ripped it in half.
Dysta glowed as she demi-synced with Phuong and they began their assault on both sides of the creature.
'Would be easier if Sugar Space Bunny were here to-'
"I know." Phuong rolled out of the way of Dargo's fist and blasted him in the face again. As he flailed backwards, a water whip wrapped around his neck, holding him back. Phuong and Dysta teleported above him and slammed down on his head. He was so disoriented as a water bubble appeared around his head, in a matter of moments he was woozy. Seiren released it as Phoung blasted him one last time and Ilasu conjured another spider that tied Dargo up.
"See? We did pretty good for not having SSB." They all frowned at her. "I know. I miss her too." the reporters began to swarm, noticing that the giant lizard man was now down.
"Solar Cat-"
"Are the rumors true-?!"
"Is the SGPA returning from hiatus?!"
She took a step back. "And for my next trick!" In a blinding light, they all vanished.

-SGPA Headquarters, Pluto-
"-no no no, that's totally wrong."
"I'm telling you, that's what Crow told me."
"Oh yeah? Well Sage told me-"
"What's going on?" Solar Cat asked as they appeared in the center room.
"Oh, hey boss." Sybil greeted her. She noticed Dargo, still tied up and unconscious. "Wow. If I knew you were fighting a Draconian, I would've tagged along."
"Prince Dargo of the Draconians, to be exact." Dysta corrected.
"Talk about nostalgia." Fenix said. "He shouldn't be out already, should he?"
"No, he shouldn't." Fanfr stated as she approached. There were holoscreens hovering around her. "With his criminal record, he should be imprisoned well through the next two centuries."
"I'm starting to think that that intergalactic prison isn't reliable in the least." Fenix said.
A green bubble materialized around Dargo and lifted him in the air. Jace was hovering above them. "I'll drop him off in the containment cells downstairs until we figure out what's up. If he bribed a guard, I'll find out who's dirty."
"Thanks, GL." Phuong said as she turned back to Sybil. "What were you talking about when we showed up?"
"Okay, so settle something for us. Every time we ask one of the senior members about how the SGPA was founded, we get a different story from each of them."
"Yeah, I was wondering about that. I tried asking Zapps about it last mission and she just laughed and changed the subject." Willice asked. "Is it some kind of secret?"
"Nah, it's no secret." Phuong said. "No one's ever really asked is all."
"I want to know how you don't know." Yumiko hinted as she elbowed Willice.
"Hey, I only joined two months before the hiatus. I never got around to asking, cut me some slack."
"You're saying that nobody even thought about asking?" Sophie raised an eyebrow curiously.
'Everyone was quite certain that the incident in front of the U.N. was the founding of the SGPA so no one ever really questioned it.' Seiren added.
"Oh yeah. That was kind of an iconic moment." Dysta remembered. "But Soco, SSB and I technically started it way before that."
"Really?"
"Now I gotta know." Sybil said. A crowd was beginning to amass around their conversation.
Phuong sighed. "Well, we all had those make believe days when we were kids where we pretended to be superheroes so I guess that's where I can say the name came from."
"The Super Galaxy Princess Alliance." Ilasu nodded. "You were quite the clever child."
"Yeah, but that's just the authors note, the prologue didn't begin until I got my powers. I-"
"Soco was thirteen! We had just met-!" Dysta cut her outburst short. "...And I'll let her finish telling the story." she chuckled, somewhat embarrassed.

{I can imagine how curious they all were to hear it so I gave them an epic tale of young heroism although in truth, it was less than accurate.}
Several Years Ago...

Phuong plopped in the bean bag chair, groaning in exhaustion. "Why does middle school have to have so much homework? I'm gonna be ripped by the end of the year with all these books I have to lug around."
"There's a joke about how getting older sucks in there somewhere." T.K. chuckled. They were sitting in a tree house, in a relatively green area. There were many lush trees in the area but a house could be spotted in the distance from the window.
"Yeah, except for you. Why don't you just graduate early instead of sticking around eighth grade with me?"
"Now you sound like my mom." she made an annoyed face.
"Is that why we're hiding up here?"
"Yup."
"Come on, you could be like Lex Luthor. He's only seventeen and-"
"Do not compare me to that jerk."
"Haha," Phuong laughed as she looked around the room. "We haven't been up here in forever."
"It's barely been two years."
"Who was that girl who used to come up here when we were little? Daisy...? Dana...?"
"Dysta." As T.K. spoke, a blinding white light appeared in the center of the room. It vanished to reveal a familiar face.
"Wow! You're really here!" She beamed but their expressions were undeniably shocked.
"What-!"
"It's been so long." T.K. held on to her shock for the moment as she searched the floor around Dysta. "What's wrong?"
"There's gotta be some sort of trap door..."
"Check the ceiling." Phuong said.
"I didn't come from out there." Dysta chuckled. "I came from the spirit realm."
"That's..."
"And you don't believe me. That's natural for your age." Her expression changed. "But please believe me! I need your help."
A little while later...
"So let me sum this up," T.K. said as they sat across from Dysta. "You're a spirit acolyte apprenticed to another spirit,"
"My Paragon, yes. Each Paragon governs over something different. My Paragon was in charge of keeping balance between this world and the spirit world. Chevaliers are the honor guard of a Paragon. I came here on pilgrimage to earn my honors. If I can somehow do something good for humanity, I will become a chevalier- at least, that was what was supposed to happen." she sighed. "Someone attacked my Paragon. He's yet to awaken and the rest of the Paragon's are discussing a motion to dissolve his position completely. If someone doesn't monitor activity between the two worlds-"
"Things will get really bad really fast."
"Right." Dysta nodded. "Which is why I have to receive my honors fast. I have no standing as an acolyte, as a chevalier I could at least fight against the dissolution and discover who's trying to kill my Paragon."
"I've got an idea." T.K. said thoughtfully. "Doing something good for humanity will earn your honors, right? What if you did something good for the world as a whole? Like saving it from a natural disaster or something like that?"
"Since the trait I'm studying under is balance between the two worlds, if I did something like that... I could become a Paragon."
"Then why not do that?"
"Huh?"
"Forget aiming for chevalier. Aim for top tier. If you become the Paragon, the other Paragon's can't dissolve the position because it's filled. And then when your Paragon recovers, you can just step down."
"That's a good idea." Phuong agreed. "I'm in."
"You mean you'll help me?"
"You kidding? This is way too cool not to."
"You may just be crazy," T.K. started, "But for some reason I feel like I believe you."
"Yeah, me too."
"Thanks-" As Dysta spoke, she gasped. "Look out!" she grabbed ahold of them and yanked them out of the way as the top of the tree house collapsed in over the spot they were previously seated in. She pulled them to their feet. "We have to get out of here! Now!" They didn't hesitate to listen as they slid down the ladder before her.
"Is it possible that whoever attacked your Paragon knows what you're up to?"
"Everyone knows! I had to petition for the right to even come here!"
"Well... crap."
"We have to lure it away from the house. My parents are home." T.K. said as they started running.
"I don't understand. Not just anyone can enter through my portal, it requires permission."
"We need to have a talk later about the fact you have a portal in my backyard." T.K. said.
"She'll have to close it anyways after she deals with that thing."
"W-what...? I can't fight a wraith on my own-! I mean, I could but..."
"We're human, Dysta. We don't have any powers to help you."
She stopped. "What if you could?" they stopped as well, out of breath. "Spirits can make contracts with humans to give them power in exchange for their aid. You'd really have super powers and not just the pretend ones from when you were younger."
They both looked at each other curiously.

The wraith stepped through the trees, it's monstrous form shifting as it looked around for signs of movement. It jumped at the first noise and charged for it. "Come out, little acolyte!" It hissed as it pounced. Phuong and T.K. turned and screamed as the wraith pounced on it. The creature was surprised as they disappeared into a pink dust. 'A trick?!' Before it could react, it received a blinding blast. It squealed and retreated but didn't make it far as it was hit with another blast.
"Sorry, Dysta isn't here right now. Try calling back later." it turned to see Phuong and T.K. glowing, costume clad. "Too bad though, the long distance charges from Hell are going to suck."
'Welps-!' It attempted to move but was hit with a telekinetic blast.
"Rude."
"I got something that's just perfect for you." The glow around Phuong made her eyes light up.
'You think I'll be defeated by children, acolyte?!'
"We're just a distraction actually." It realized when it turned to see Dysta, her glow matched Phoung's. In one motion, Phoung's matching her own, the beast was blasted on both sides with light. It had taken enough damage that it was now dissolving. "What did you just do?"
"Demi-sync. I can sync up and borrow your powers for a short amount of time but it puts you in danger too, sorry."
"We were already in danger. If anything, you helped." T.K. smiled. "Now what are we going to do about this? My mom will freak if monsters keep spewing out of my tree house."
"I'll have to close the portal."
"That'll work for now but how are you going to find a way to help the world? I mean, we're not perfect but we're not exactly in need of anything major."
"Says you, you've never been to Gotham." T.K. commented.
After a moment of thought, Dysta blurted out- "The Super Galaxy Princess Alliance!"
"Wha-?"
"The Super Galaxy Princess Alliance!"
"Oh yeah."
"Dysta, that wasn't actually a real thing. We made that up when we were little-"
"But we could make it a real thing! There are tons of other planets with intelligent life and even other dimensions!"
"Wait, first you're saying you're a spirit and now you're telling us aliens are real. Did I fall asleep with an episode of Ancient Aliens on again?" Phuong asked. "Yow!" she jumped as T.K. pinched her arm.
"Nope. You're awake."
"Thanks." Phuong retorted.
"I'm serious! You can't really believe you're the only race out there."
"Tcht! No." T.K. responded.
"Then come on!"
They looked at each other thoughtfully and smiled. "We're in."
{A couple of kids starting out with a dream like that was exciting and yeah, we fought crime but... sometimes when you grow up, you lose sight of what your dream was.}
Six years ago...

"-I'm telling you, if I don't find something amazing to report on then poof! There goes the position as GBS's star investigative reporter." Phuong whined as she plopped her head on the table. She and T.K. were sitting at an outdoor table in front of a cafe, T.K.'s eyes scanning her laptop screen as she worked furiously while Phuong stared over papers set out in front of her.
"Uh huh."
"T.K.?"
"Huh? Yes?"
"You okay?"
"Yeah, why?"
"You've been working nonstop lately. You didn't even stop to oogle that cute waiter you like when he brought our drinks."
"Sorry," she sighed. "I am literally working on my biggest project, well, ever." she looked around and lowered her tone. "If I get this right, I could be responsible for mankind's first deep space voyage."
"Hasn't Green Lantern already done that? Being a space cop and all?"
"No, not like that. Superheroes don't count. I mean, something made by us."
"Yeah, I gotcha. So how long do you think it'll take?"
"Probably ten years. But I bet I can do it in half that time." she smiled.
"Haha, that's my favorite genius."
"How many geniuses do you actually know?"
"I could have said Lex Luthor was my favorite." She gave T.K. a wry grin.
"If you wanted me to dust you, yeah." she frowned at her. "Military contracts don't make you cool, they make you an ass who knows how to manipulate the world by seeing who has the bigger gun. Besides, he majorly hates on Superman."
"Really?"
"He thinks that he can use Superman as an excuse to arm the world against any and all extraterrestrials. He'd ruin my project first chance he gets." she took a drink of her coffee. "So have you told your parents yet about the position?"
"I-I don't even have the position."
"When you get the position- because I know you will- you will be moving to GBS's main office in New York and you haven't mentioned this to your parents at all?"
"I am an adult, I don't need to tell them every little detail."
"That is not a little detail."
She sighed. "It's not that I'm not going to tell them, I just..."
"You don't want them to stop you."
"Yeah," she sighed. "I love them and all but when they find out I'm moving out of the country,"
"Auntie will freak."
"Yup." she shook her head. "Where do you think Dysta is right now?"
"Probably slacking off as usual. Being a spirit has its perks, after all."
"Haha, you don't think she's fighting monsters without us, do you?"
"What monsters? The only thing monstrous we've ever fought is Killer Kong and he was a magic gorilla."
"Hey, you never know."
"Alright," she said sarcastically though the laughter did not last long. "I need to come up with a good excuse."
"Excuse? Just tell them the truth." she gave her a skeptical look. "Okay, okay. But it's not like a good excuse is going to fall out of the sky-" As she spoke an explosion went off, sending them flying out of their chairs as the front of the cafe exploded.
There was a ringing in Phuong's ears as she looked around. "T.K.? T.K.!"
"I'm okay..." she groaned as she rolled from her side onto her knees to attempt to stand up. Both were scraped up. A shadow descended over T.K. She looked up to see a beastly, winged creature standing over her. It shrieked at her but was quickly silenced by a golden blast from Phuong going right through its chest. Phuong's costume appeared in a golden flash. "That was little overkill."
"Did you sense an intelligent consciousness?" She helped her up.
"No." She sighed as her costume materialized. She looked around to see the beastly demons destroying everything they could get their hands on. "This is bad."
"I think I got their attention." Phuong joked as three more flew at her. With a charged golden blast, she scorched them.
One attempted to swing on T.K. but she quickly turned and dusted it. It shook its head, a bit dazed, before turning and attacking it's fellow demons. "More of them are pouring out of that golden portal."
"You mean the one that took out half of your favorite cafe and killed the people inside?"
A dozen of the demons came flying towards T.K. She growled. "I really liked that waiter," With a wave she dusted all of them.
Phuong dodged one's wild swings swing, returning charged punches of her own. She realized it was backing her into another one as it let out a shrill cry. Dysta had landed on its shoulders, driving her spear into the back of its neck. With a twist there was a snap as the creature fell over. She twirled her spear and cut another's clean off. "About time you got here."
"These things are all over!"
"That portal is a lot different than the one you use to go back and forth to the astral plane." T.K. through a forcefield around one chasing a citizen before crushing him into the ground.
"These things almost look like- Parademons!"
{That was when Darkseid first attacked and we realized that we discovered we weren't the only dimension. We fought as many of the parademons as we could, even destroying a few boomtube generators but the real work was done by the famous heroes, the Justice League. We were overshadowed, not that I minded but I felt bad for Dysta, the one who needed the spotlight the most.}
Three years ago...

["-Superman and Green Lantern saved the entire troop in Kazikstan-"]
"That's so unfair." Dysta whined as she leaned over the back of the couch. "Didn't you just keep the Septor of Anubis out of some crazy sorcerer's hands?"
"Felix Faust." Phuong reminded her as she shoved everything into her purse on the counter. "Keys?"
Dysta took the keys off of the coffee table and tossed them to her. "But no! They're still going on about that troop in Kazikstan."
"Hey, I wrote that segment."
"And you look good on camera but still! Why are you reporting on the Justice League instead of yourself?"
"Because that's a little obvious."
"How am I ever going to become a Paragon if the world looks to the Justice League for help?"
They paused as they heard something on the television. ["-reports are coming in that a dragon has landed in front of the U.N. building. I repeat a dragon! It seems to be carrying a woman!"]
"There's my story!"
"Ugh."
"Call T.K."
"How are you going to get there in time?"
"Never said I was gonna drive." She smirked.
{I didn't know when I left the house that that would be a turning point. Not just for me but Dysta, T.K. and the little "club" we called the SGPA.}
Phuong weaseled her way through the crowd as far as she could to get a good view though most of the crowd was being kept at bay by a row of soldiers. Behind them were another row of soldiers facing the opposite way, surrounding the aqua themed woman. She pet the dragon's snout, calming him, as she eyed the crowd. The soldiers were nervous, Phuong could easily recognize that.
She finally spoke. "This building is where your world leaders meet, is it not?" Silence followed. "The Dark Lord of Nandeon has come to make peace with this planet and so far you have have shown nothing of courtesy." Her eyes narrowed into a glare. "Bring forth your leaders so that the Dark Lord may speak with them."
'This is about to turn bad.' Phuong's eyes went to a woman who looked as if she was in charge.
'That's Amanda Waller.' She heard T.K.'s voice in her head.
'We've met on occasion. She tried to arrest Dysta as a extradimensional alien. Didn't get very far.'
'If she's barking orders, this is about to get out of hand.'
'I know.'
'Plan?'
'I'm working on it.'
"Who is this Dark Lord?" Amanda asked loudly.
"You are standing in my presence. You are not one of this world's leaders. The Dark Lord has mastered the basics of your language to discuss intergalactic relations with your world and this is the kind of welcome you present?"
An uproar was beginning in the crowd. "Go back to your own planet!"
"Someone call the Justice League!"
"Yeah!"
"The Justice League will take care of this!"
"Wonder Woman will send her packing!"
Everyone was silenced as a golden flash appeared in front of the woman. It dissipated to reveal costume clad Phuong, T.K. and Dysta. The soldiers tensed up. "All of you should be ashamed." Phuong started. "How many commercials flash across our T.V.s about donating to children in Africa who are starving or stories on the news about troops dying in Kazikstan?"
"Who's that?"
"Solar Cat."
"She's a hero from Canada." A reporter, Lois Lane, whispered. "She's seen with those two, Dysta and Sugar Space Bunny, normally. She's been seen a lot recently in the U.S. though."
"You stand there stating "let the Justice League" handle it but what you're forgetting is that Wonder Woman is an ancient Amazon. Aquaman is the king of Atlantis. Superman is an alien and Green Lantern is a space cop. A leader of a foreign planet proudly walks right up to our doorstep talking about peace and you stand here pointing guns and treating her like garbage." She turned. "Dark Lord, have you come alone?"
"Why would I not? The Dark Lord came for peace not war, or this planet would be in smolders."
"That's good. Why?" Phuong questioned. "Why Earth?"
"It is simple. Every major kingdom in space has turned its eyes on your planet. The Kryptonian who beat Brainiac, three human Green Lanterns who have done more for the universe than they will ever be thanked for. Humanity is making its mark and with that there are those who want to see it crushed. Your people show potential, the Dark Lord- I shall not allow that to be wasted." She locked eyes with Phuong. "You speak with authority, golden woman."
"The Earth may favor the Justice League but its not the only superhero team on this planet. My name is Solar Cat, this is Dysta and Sugar Space Bunny. Allow us to show you humanity can live up to their potential. I've bouncing around an idea for a long time that Earth, no, the universe needs a team that's dedicated to peace. A team where anyone, human, alien, spirit or whatever can join if they're willing to do the right thing. We'll be the middlemen for Earth and the rest of the universe or any other universe."
She held up her hand to shake the woman's. "I'd like to formally invite you to be on one the first new members of the Super Galaxy Princess Alliance. If peace between our worlds is your purpose, we'll happily speak to humanity on your behalf. Show this world that you're willing to stand up for them, to stand with them."
"Solar Cat-!" Waller went to object.
"These terms are acceptable." She shook her hand. "Here me humanity, the Dark Lord Ilasu Linansi will stand for you with this Alliance. We shall show the rest of the universe that the Earth is not to be trifled with."
'Now that is an introduction.' The voice rang in everyone's heads as a man emerged from the crowd, his form changing as he stepped. 'The King of Atlantis sent me here to speak on his behalf but I had not expected this. I am known as the Black Seiren and I have been entrusted as the Atlantian ambassador to the surface. I speak telepathically so I pardon the intrusion. My King trusts me to make the right decision and I can see a great benefit in joining this Alliance as well.' He took a hold of Phuong's hand and kissed it. 'If you would allow it, milady.'
She smiled and nodded before turning to the crowd. "All of you will remember today, not only as the day the first alien leader has come to us wanting peace but as the day Atlantis extended an olive branch as our aquatic neighbors and the founding day of the Super Galaxy Princess Alliance. From this day forth, we don't just fight for humanity; we fight for peace in the hopes that one day, humanity will spread out among the stars!" Cheers had erupted, causing the crowd to push against the soldiers.
{I got lucky. I've never been good at making speeches but I seem to get stuck making a lot of them. After that, there was a panic. Many pro-SGPA, many not. We even had a fan base starting believe it or not. Of course, the whole ordeal caught the attention of the ones the Earth depended on the most.}
"What'd you want to talk about?" Phuong locked the screen of her phone as she set it on the table. Across from her was a dark haired gentleman in thick rimmed glasses.
"What can I get for you?" the waitress asked. "The usual, you two?"
"Please." He nodded and the waitress walked away. "You've caused quite a stir."
"Worried about me, Clark?"
"Yes." He said plainly. "Phuong, let's talk real here. This is dangerous."
"I know. Didn't we have the discussion about how dangerous or moonlight jobs are when I first found out you were you-know-who?"
"Thank you for not saying anything by the way."
"You say that every time. Come on, you don't blab to the Daily Planet about me and GBS doesn't have a segment covering Smallville's Super. That's the deal our friendship was founded on."
"This isn't about that."
"I know, it's about the SGPA." she said, pausing as the waitress set two plates of apple pie in front of them and two cups of coffee.
"Let us know if you need another slice, Phuong, you've been busy covering those new heroes."
"Thanks, Gladys." she said as the waitress walked off again. She turned back to Clark. "I know it's risky."
"And I know it's your dream but you could be living that dream on the Justice League." he said quietly.
The comment threw her off. "What?"
"Not everyone is on board yet but you've been brought up as a possible new member any time the topic's come up."
"By you, no doubt."
"Actually, by Batman. I just agree with him."
She paused. "Clark, I..."
"But you've already decided, haven't you?" he smirked. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to give a scoop to a fellow reporter on your new members? I hear you have quite a few now, even an unknown human Green Lantern."
"And knock Lois Lane off of her pedestal? Scandalous! Let's do it." She chuckled.
{Knowing the Man of Steel on a personal level did me some good. He kept the rest of the Justice League at bay but when the times came up, we collaborated on missions and world incidents. Many intergalactic leaders came to the SGPA and many pitted themselves against us- to their misfortune. It finally seemed like we were doing it, the dream was achievable but... then it came crashing down. Now, it's not about a dream. It's about doing what's right.}
Present day...
Phuong sighed as she sat down, pushing up the mask of her helmet so she could rub her eyes.
["Solar Cat, incoming message for you."] Fafnr's voice came through.
She put her mask back down. "Patch it through." There was a flash as Superman appeared on the holographic screen in front of her. "Clark..."
["Elle said I could contact you this way. Your signal stretches from Earth to Pluto, impressive."]
"Farther than that. We have a lot of alien tech collaborated into this base." She smiled. "You should come up sometime. I'll give you a tour."
He laughed. ["One day, I'll take you up on that offer."] He paused. ["Phuong-"]
"Stop. I'm fine."
["You don't look fine."]
"Rude."
["I didn't mean-"]
"Kidding, farm boy."
["When I heard from Cyborg about you lifting the hiatus, I'll admit, I was worried."]
"And you're not now?"
["No. I'm still seriously worried. After what happened-"]
"Clark. Can we not talk about that? Please?"
["Phuong, you're one of my best friends just... call me if you need me."]
"You too, Clark. You seem to have it rough nowadays too."
["I'm not taking on a time eating monster."] He stated. ["See you tomorrow?"]
"Diner. Five o'clock."
["It's on me."]
